Chamonix is renowned for the wide variety of activities it offers in winter and summer. It is a centre for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and ice skating. During the summer months, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling, climbing, mountaineering and white-water rafting. Chamonix Golf Club is a 10-minute drive away. The Accro' park at Lac des Gaillands (5 minutes by transport) is an excellent day out. There are many good restaurants and bars in the area, to suit all budgets and ages. The Chamonix market in the Place du Mont Blanc (15 minutes' walk away) takes place every Saturday and offers the chance to buy the best local ingredients. Geneva Airport is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from the apartment. Whilst Aiguille du Midi railway station, which offers free train services to other resorts on the Mont Blanc Express, is just a 7-minute walk away.
